Grand Celebration of Center for Performing Arts

Dallas now has a place for the arts and for the people of Dallas, that the residents of Dallas will enjoy and international visitors will enjoy in the heart of downtown Dallas. Homeowners from Munger Place to Highland Park,from Greenway Parks to Oak Cliff, from Preston Hollow to Lakewood, from Bent Tree to Turtle Creek Park were all filled with excitement and pride at the success of this effort in downtown Dallas. On the dance floor celebrating were great Dallas citizens and art patrons Deedie Rose of Highland Park, Cindy Rachofsky of Preston Hollow and Marguerite Hoffman, also of Preston Hollow, Mayor Tom Leppert and Margaret McDermott's granddaughter, Grace Cook.
