Architect Designed Cape Cod Modern Home

Architects always search for the best sites to design modern homes. Here, Peter Forbes found a 2.8 acre site at the tip of a peninsula with 400 feet of water frontage on the shores of Popponesset Bay just down the sandy beaches from the village of Cotuit. Architect Peter Forbes references the vernacular white of Cape Cod without mimicking shingle-style homes prevalent along the coast. Sensitive to the scale and conversant to the regional architecture, this modern home has the advantage of walls of glazed openings providing spectacular 180 degree views of the bay, marshes, and inlets of Pinquickset Cove and the adjacent Crocker Neck containing 97 acres of protected conservation land. Deep water access continues to Nantucket Sound.

While many have a great desire for a modern home on the seaboard, they are nearly impossible to find as the best ones are hidden. Built in 2000, this home is fresh and exhilarating, placed gently on the land, and captures the essence of a Cape Cod retreat.

What better way to enjoy the Cape than the uncluttered and clean lines of this 3,000 sf Cape Cod modern home.

After retaining Douglas Newby, in a few hours, you will save 100 hours on unproductive searches.
