Lakewood Pasadena Real Estate and Homes for Sale in Lakewood Neighborhood
Pasadena Additions 1 and 2 are located in the southeast part of Lakewood, west of the White Rock Lake Spillway. This historic neighborhood began with the cooperative efforts of Pasadena Enterprise Co., the Dallas Daily Times Herald, architects, leading businessmen, and builders when two homes were built and showcased – the project becoming known as the Dallas Daily Times Herald Perfect Homes. The Dallas Daily Times Herald chronicled the construction of the Perfect Homes through a seven month spread, including advertisements of architects, contractors, craftsmen, and the various businesses associated with the building projects. The first 12 homes built in the Pasadena Additions were constructed in 1925 and 1926, and while growth slowed down considerably during the Depression, these additions now contain over 125 homes.
