The Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, Texas Chapter, (ICAA) held the event “Authenticity and Historic Design in Architectural Millwork: An Evening with Brent Hull” at 1401 N. Carroll Avenue in Dallas.

When Brent Hull was giving a fabulous talk on the history and evolution of moldings, it made me think of what a French friend told me once: If you use the best possible ingredients, it is hard to prepare a bad meal. My thought is that if you use the best proportions for the placement of your moldings, it is hard to have bad moldings.
