Eagle Mountain Lake Residence

Horizons

The house is positioned on the site’s upper plateau’s edge. Views to the west overlook Eagle Mountain Lake. Eastern daylight enters the depths of the house by lifting the roof plane and inserting clearstory glass above the living room and kitchen. The roof continues an upward lift towards the site’s northern edge for the second floor bedroom’s view. Rain water from the roof is collected and filtered in a 20,000 gallon rainwater catchment system for the whole house potable water use. A water well back-up insures the catchment system does not fall below a minimum level.
