Caruth Homeplace

The Caruths built one of the first housing developments in Dallas, in the area that is now the West End. About the same time that neighborhood became Frogtown, the Caruths built their main residence on Swiss Avenue and their plantation home on Caruth Hill. One can still see the allee of trees marking the original entrance at Caruth Homeplace.
